[Professional Blog] Topsail Beach is a dump?

It appears some think Topsail Beach is a dump. The parking lot is littered with countless coffee cups and drink containers as well as hundreds of cigarette butts. There is an area along the road where someone appears to have dumped a small bag of garbage. And, in a couple of places, motorists have their emptied ash trays (a particular pet peeve of mine). What makes the littering even more of a headscratcher is that the Town of Conception Bay South has garbage containers there. The mess will be cleaned up in the coming weeks by town staff or some kind of community clean-up, but thats not the point. The crap should have been discarded of properly in the first place. To the lazy who litter: a short walk to a garbage bin goes a long way.

If you think Topsail beach is a dump you should take a quick walk around Bowering park, or as I like to call it, the doggie toilet. It is unbelievable how much dog excrement there is, it is everywhere. It is such a sad sight to see. Little kids stepping in it constantly, gets on your shoes, on the kids clothes. It gets worse every year, but this year it is truly unbelievable. Bowering park used to be a nice place to bring your kids, now it is a cesspool for people to bring their dogs to crap in, and then just walk away, very, very sad.
