[Professional Blog] Good laughs start Ruckus

Published on November 30, -1

Labrador's Harry Martin sang the first number tonight.

He told the audience his music is inspired by the oldtimers in Labrador and their way of life.

He sang This Land Called Labrador, which came about as the Metis Nation was filming a video.

Afterwards, Mike MacDonald host of the first half complemented Martin on his smooth picking hand.

MacDonald joked that didn't mean he wanted Martin to touch him.

Karla Pilgrim just finished a song inspired by Trisha Yearwood.

MacDonald tried to imitate her haunting voice.

What are you on? Pilgrim asked him.

For the first time in my life, MacDonald replied, nothing.

Terry Penney is now singing A Town That Time Forgot.
