Chevy Camaro to outsell Ford Mustang!

While this year's big Camaro news is the addition of a convertible to the lineup, something else is grabbing the headlines now. Camaro, for the first time in 25 years, is on the verge of snatching first place in the muscle car sales race from Ford's mighty Mustang! And that's without any help from the new convertible, which hasn't even hit the market yet.

Chevrolet sold 75,685 Camaros through the end of November, while Ford had only delivered 68,264 Mustangs said an AutoWeek report, and while there's still a few days left before the year is up it doesn't look likely that the blue oval brand's expected 74,500 sales will catch up to the bowtie boy's estimated 82,500 units. Incidentally, Chrysler's Dodge brand holds the third and final place in the Big 3 muscle car sales war with about 36,000 Challengers down the road so far this year.

With the convertible coming on early next year and a top-tier Z28 model expected sometime thereafter, the Mustang will once again have its work cut out for it in 2011.
