What do we have here? A sleek four-door luxury coupe from Hyundai? We wouldn't put it past them. After all, the South Korean automaker is responsible for the brilliant Genesis midsize sport sedan as well as the equally impressive full-size Equus luxury sedan, and they put out a pretty impressive rear-drive two-door sport model too, the Genesis Coupe. Could the HCD-14 concept be the Genesis Four-Door Coupe of the future? It appears they have something like that in mind.

"The HCD-14 concept will give the automotive world a glimpse into future Hyundai premium vehicle design, advanced 3-D gesture-based technology controls, and spirited driving dynamics," said a press release.

The HCD-14 concept will debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit coincidentally on January 14, at which point attendees will likely witness something very specially. Hyundai teased a dimly lit profile shot of the car yesterday, and it appears about the size of the current Genesis Sedan so it will either replace that car altogether or fill a tiny near-premium four-door coupe niche now occupied by the Volkswagen CC. Either way it's an exciting proposition.
