You wouldn't think of California as the home of the Stagecoach Music Festival, but people appreciate country music just as much outside of Nashville as they do in the Tennessee capital.

Indio, CA, near Palm Springs, will host country music royalty along with throngs of fans on the final weekend of April, and Toyota, as the event's presenting sponsor for the seventh year in a row, will be there connecting with its customers and would-be buyers. The automaker will set up the "Toyota World of Wonders" where show goers can rapid-recharge their mobile devices at the Tacoma Charging Station, try to win prizes by operating the arcade-style Camry Claw machine through its open sunroof, see if their personal strength measures up to the Tundra Strongman, toss some rings onto milk jugs at the retro-styled Carnival Arcade, have their future foretold by the RAV4 Palm Reader, put on a costume for a personalized photo at the Big Top Photo Booth, or just lounge in the shade under misters in the Cooling Zone to "beat the heat", says Toyota.

Toyota will also take the opportunity to unveil its refreshed 2014 4Runner, a vehicle the automaker just teased with a pair of very closely cropped photos. The first shows a new scalloped-shaped headlight design as well as new vertical air inlets, while the second shows an LED taillight with a smoked lens. Toyota will reveal the new 4Runner on a "unique Toyota stage" hosted by SiriusXM radio personality, Buzz Brainard, and will top off the event by a performance by "chart-topping country recording artist, Dierks Bentley."

Along with the Toyota World of Wonders, the automaker has set up a 12,260 square-metre (132,000 square-foot) off-road driving course dubbed "Toyota Drive Center" so that show goers can test out its bevy of off-road capable trucks and SUVs, including its 4Runner, Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia and FJ Cruiser models. Legendary 4x4er Ivan "Ironman" Stewart will be on hand to show everyone just how it's done and sign autographs.

What's more, the automaker is erecting a gathering place inside the Stagecoach campground called the "Toyota Hangout" where it will offer more activities, giveaways and even cook up complimentary breakfast burritos.

The Stagecoach Music Festival runs from April 25-29, with the 4Runner reveal taking place on April 27. If you happen to still be snowbirding in Palm Springs or the surrounding area and like country music go check it out, and for all others expect coverage of the new 2014 4Runner after it's revealed.
