Hey Rosetta! was the final act of an impressive, high energy rock night.
The band played nearly 115 minutes, introducing an appreciative audience to some new material and playing a number of old tunes.
Yes! Yes! Yes! from their first album was the highlight of the entire evening, with the thousand or so in attendance going beserk with arms waving and feet dancing.
After the band wrapped up its set, the crowd stuck around, clapping their hands and chanting Hey Rosetta!
The band returned for a two-song encore.
They were obviously trying the new songs out on an audience
During the set, singer Tim Baker noted how they were leaving Sunday to try their luck at recording a new album.
Before that, they'll play a JunoFest show at the Majestic tomorrow night with Rich Aucoin and the fabulous Great Lake Swimmers.

Another 45 minutes of big sound with no shortage of decibels and distortion from The Novaks.
The trio played their known tunes Goodbye Rock and Roll Band, Destroyer, etc. plus some new ones from their forthcoming EP, Big World, which is being released April 20.
They sounded awesome and it's too bad they never played longer.
The Novaks play again at The Ship tomorrow night as part of JunoFest.

At Ruckus on the Edge's rock night, The Idlers just wrapped up a 45-minute set that would have moved cinder blocks.
The 10-piece band led by former mayoral candidate and organic farmer Mark Wilson had a growing crowd at the Delta jumping to their reggae sounds.
They'll be busy over the Juno weekend with shows at The Levee Friday and The Rockhouse Saturday.
The latter is the site of the MusicNL showcase.
The Novaks are up next and they'll be followed by Hey Rosetta!
The venue is sold out.
