Im trying not to blog about senior hockey really, I am but theres little else happening that has as many people talking nowadays (apologies to the St. Albans mens Steel Point Dart League). The message boards are rife with rumours of the CeeBees Chris Bartlett, Chris Crosbie and Randy Reardon returning for either of the CeeBees next two games in order to get their Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador mandated six games in to be eligible for playoff rosters. Spoke with C.B.N. CeeBee Stars coach Eddie Oates yesterday his exact words comment on either Crosbie or Bartlett returning were highly unlikely. Bartlett, he says, is pretty well done. And the Crosbie issue was settled before Christmas and again before the January 10 deadline for protected player lists. But they will be with the team, only donning suits versus jerseys. The pair will be added to the CeeBees coaches card, joining Oates and P.J. Power behind the bench for the remainder of the season. Reardon, however, is done. Highly doubtful his knee will be ready for Sunday. Now, we just need this news to hold up until Sunday evening when the CeeBees plays its sixth last game of the year and the last chance to get their guys in.
