[Professional Blog] Clark Replacing Duffy

New CTV host has Newfoundland connection

Published on November 30, -1

Breaking media news about the new replacement for Mike Duffy, who has moved on to the Senate.

Here's the online story, from National Newswatch:

Tom Clark will leave his current post as CTV's Washington Bureau Chief and return to Ottawa to anchor CTV Newsnet's daily marquee political program, currently called ON THE HILL.

As Parliament opens, Clark will be on Parliament Hill preparing for his new role. An official start date for his new program will be announced later.

In addition to anchoring the 5 p.m. show, Clark will anchor CTV Newsnet specials and will continue as a backup anchor for CTV NATIONAL NEWS WITH LLOYD ROBERTSON.

Tom has a Newfoundland connection. He is married to Janey Reid, the sister of Ross Reid, who now works in the premier's office. My contact says Clark is "well familiar with Newfoundland and been to the province many times. He is a good guy."
