Peter Walsh has resigned from Out of the Fog, on Rogers TV.

Walsh joined the show in July of 2009, as co-host and Senior producer, working with Erin Sulley. They worked well together, and were polished, professional and entertaining.

However, I heard last night that Walsh was departing from the program. I sent a message to inquire, and received the following, very brief, confirmation:

“Yes, you have heard correctly,” Walsh wrote. “I recently submitted my resignation. I finish my time here at the end of the month. In the new year I will be pursuing a new opportunity. Other than that I don’t have any comment.”

I replied, asking if he was pursuing another media opportunity, in print or broadcast – or of he was even staying in the province. Walsh didn’t reply, so I suspect that whatever lies ahead is still a private matter, between himself and his next employer.
