For the past couple of weeks Iceberg Water has been harvesting icebergs in the waters off Tickle Cove. The process uses a barge, a crane and a couple of men in a small boat to lasso the bergy bit and position it for the crane to grab. - Photo by Shawn Connors

I showed the picture to my son (3 years old) and his first comment was why are the man not wearing a life jacket daddy

Poor example for workers in such a hazardous environment.

I assume that crane is well anchored and they know the maximum weight it can handle, together with the approximate weight of the icebergs.

I realize this is a poor example and I firmly believe that they should have life jackets on, but doesn't the law state that there must be one life jacket for each perosn in a boat, not necessarily that they be wearing them?
