Applications from the province's mink industry are now being accepted under the Aleutian Disease Management Program.
Under the program mink farmers can apply for up to $200,000 to put in place measures to secure their farms against Aleutian disease.
The $5.4 million program was unveiled to the industry earlier this week, says Natural Resources Minister Kathy Dunderdale.
"This program helps all our mink farms, including those already affected by the disease and those that have managed to remain Aleutian disease-free," she said in a release today.
More information on the program and additional funding details can be found at www.nr.gov.nl.ca/agric/
