Farmers celebrate Ag Day in Canada

Members of Newfoundland and Labrador's agriculture community are meeting today to mark "Ag Day in Canada."
The event, and similar ones across the country, are organized by Farm Credit Canada, an arms-length crown corporation that lends money to farmers.
"Agriculture is important to all of us in our day to day lives, and we need to understand it," said FCC spokeswoman Christine Wheaton. "Basically today is more or less to really recognize or celebrate the industry."
