It was a big gift in a little envelope.
Officials with the TD Bank Financial Group have donated $25,000 to the Daffodil Place Campaign.
John Steele, Daffodil Place chairman, thanked TD Bank Financial Group for the gift.
"TD plays a tremendous role in their communities by supporting important initiatives such as Daffodil Place." Steele said, after the announcement this morning.
Daffodil Place is a facility that will provide accommodations to cancer patients who have to travel to St. John's for treatment.
The facility, which will provide 24 suites with all the comforts of home, is set to open this year.
In all, more than $6 million in donations have been collected from individuals, companies and community groups to build and open the facility.
