Staff at 9 Wing Gander's headquarters are on the move because of the building's bad air quality. The military is moving the staff to other base buildings, according to a 9 Wing release today.
Staff will stay there until new headquarters and logistics buildings are completed over the next couple of years. The new headquarters are now in the design phase.
"It is important to note that operational capabilities of 9 Wing Gander will not be affected by this move," says the release.
Air quality checks by Canadian Forces technicians discovered the air quality problems, which the release said would be too expensive to fix.
The military plans further air testing in all 9 Wing buildings to determine indoor air quality across the Wing.

I wish such fast responses occurred when problems are found in our provinces schools.
