Just another feel good event at the expense of the taxpayers. When will people get the message that we are not going to see anything of significance till we remove the current governments.

Just look at what these people are being paid, and what they spend in an attempt to calm the masses then we all might gain a better understanding to what is really going on.

I doubt anyone has obtained meaningful employment from all of these feel good events that cost us far more than we will ever see in return. How's about government workers paying for these events out of their pockets for a change rather than out of ours.

Why doesn't Danny Williams and Bludderdale just give all rural nl a plane ticket to Alberta and be done with it.Their master plan of downsizeing rural areas is working to a Tee.Anyone in the pc party who disagrees with Danny ,gets the boot

Why is it that these MHA's got an 8% increase in July when the government has recently had sessions concering the MHA's salary? Kind of backwards isn't it? No wonder why the minister has something to smile about. Go figure!!!

WoW, thanks for the compliment. But you need to worry about your run for office Ron rather than showering me in praise. I voted for the other guy already.

I am sorry, but these people do not need this type of remuneration when they toss scraps out for the rest of us. We pay these wages, so it should be us who vote on what they should be granted, not what they take. Feel good meetings and $92,000 plus benefits do not add up.

As of July 1st, all of our MHA's got an eight per cent increase in their salary, at a time when a commission is going around the province asking the public what the financial compensation should be for an MHA. So the base salary of roughly $92,500 has gone up already by eight per cent - that's a $7500 raise in one year. The Greene Report on operations of the House of Assembly concluded that a compensation review panel should be struck to look into remuneration for MHA s.

Nice to see that the Minister isn't forgetting about ALL THE LITTLE PEOPLE that elected her. I'm sure she'll have a pleasant tour around the bay and will have soft footing - on the backs of the citizens.

I guess you missed the memo. The 2% increase in population to this province is in direct relationship to the decline of 4% in Alberta due to no work. So I guess sending people to Alberta would help with employment here, but not grant anyone that was sent to Alberta a job.

So I guess it should be Danny that get's the boot for telling everyone in Alberta to retrun here to welfare and poverty. Not like we need more trades people here. The trades people that are here today can not find work, why would we need more? Not like they will be contributing to the provincial coffers, but be a drain on it even more for being unemployed and at the mercy of the system once again.

Great plan there Joan. Keep going like that and you will at least get a job from Danny. Without investment we will continue to be a have not. Not very many internationals want to deal with a two faced bigot like Danny WIlliams.
