Paradise mayor elect Kurtis Coombs said he's been told by his scrutineer nothing has changed at this hour in the mayoralty, which he won by just three votes.
The recount is taking place and may be completed in about an hour and a half, Coombs said at 12:30 p.m.
Coombs defeated Ralph Wiseman Tuesday night.
An update will be posted as soon as the results are known.

Good bye Ralph...Paradise is a better place without you and your brick wall mentality. Now you have more time to spend at your favorite haunt... Tims . You must surely realize the vote was purely anti Wiseman.

Hope you win Kurtis and well done Paradise for having the backbone to elect new energy to your municipal roster unlike what the tiny majority of the tunnel visioned residents of Ward 2 could only muster up and that was throw back the same old same old after 12 years at city hall!

If you win, kick your Mother out. She was not elected, you were. I was very upset with her comments last night on NTV. I did not vote for her, and her influence will not be tolerated.
