Transportation Minister Tom Hedderson today announced that a tender has been called for roadwork on the Burin Peninsula Highway.
The tender is for upgrading and repaving 8.9 kilometres of Route 210, Burin Peninsula Highway, from the Trans-Canada Highway towards North Harbour. The project will be cost-shared 50/50 between the provincial and federal governments under the federal Infrastructure Stimulus Fund.
"This is great news, not only for people in the area, but for anyone travelling the Burin Peninsula Highway," said Calvin Peach, MHA for Bellevue. "This is a heavily travelled section of highway that serves many residents and tourists each year. Investments in major trunk roads help to improve access to, and boost the economies of, rural regions within our province."

There seems to be a flurry of Govt of Danystan news releases. Do I smell a pollster in the air?

Why hasn't there been a big release for this one?
