Motorists are advised that traffic flow on the Fischells River Bridge on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 16 kilometres west of the intersection with Route 403 to Flat Bay, has been reduced to one lane.
The bridge requires repair and Department of Transportation and Works engineers are currently assessing the structure.
Repairs will be carried out as soon as possible. The west-bound lane of the bridge will remain closed for approximately two weeks.
Motorists are asked to use caution and to reduce their speed in the area.
