Road and ferry users in the province will see infrastructure improvements this year.
Today's provincial budget includes $177.7 million for road and bridge projects, as well as over $17.5 million to upgrade ferries and ferry terminals.
That road money will be supplemented with $57.9 million in federal cash, bringing the total to $235.6 million.
The highway projects include improvements to the Trans Canada and Trans Labrador highways.
Besides the upgrade to ferries and terminals, the budget commits $55 million to advance the construction of six new vessels.
