Offshore oil workers at the Hibernia platform have reached a tentative agreement with their employers.
The 420 workers, who work for 14 companies on the platform, are members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union Local 2121.
The union reached the tentative agreement this week, but details of the proposal are being withheld until a ratification vote is held between June and early July.
According to a news release from the union, this is the first fully negotiated collective agreement for Hibernia workers.
A previous agreement in 2006 was finalized through arbitration.
