Fort McMurray, Alta. -

Three workers remain in hospital after a fire at Syncrude's Mildred Lake plant in northern Alberta.
Syncrude spokeswoman Cheryl Robb says their conditions are serious, but the workers are stable.
Five employees were hurt in the blaze, which broke out Thursday afternoon.
Two were treated and released in Fort McMurray and the other three were airlifted to Edmonton.
Robb says the workers were doing routine maintenance.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but there was only minor damage to the plant and it is still operating.
