RCMP have recovered the body of a 45-year-old fisherman who went overboard in eastern Newfoundland after apparently getting caught in his boat's anchor line.
A search was launched yesterday after two salmon fishermen fell from their two-metre open boat as it capsized in Dog Bay.
One of the men managed to swim to shore.
Major James Simiana of the rescue co-ordination centre in Halifax says the survivor told officials the other man was tossing the anchor when his leg got tangled in the line.
Simiana says the man was pulled overboard and the boat overturned.
RCMP divers, a Cormorant helicopter and a coast guard fast-rescue craft were involved in the search.
No names have been released.
