Work crews are confirming that they have pulled three pieces of heavy equipment from Bay Bulls Big Pond, though the lights remain off from the Goulds to Mobile and the stretch of road between the Goulds bypass road and Bay Bulls remains closed.
One man was sent to hospital as a result of the accident that put a dump truck, flatbed and backhoe in the St. John's regional water supply.
A crane was brought in to haul the equipment after the pond, which started around 6 p.m.
City of St. John's officials say they don't expect any contamination to the water supply, but are testing the water regularly to be sure.
Power is expected to remain off until later this evening.
