A man's body discovered by a lobster fisherman in the Dead Man's Bay area just outside St. John's harbour this morning has been identified, but police are awaiting notification of next of kin before releasing further details.
The body was recovered this morning and taken to the Health Sciences Centre in the city for examination by the province's chief medical examiner.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the fisherman reported seeing the body on the shore area in the Dead Man's Bay about 7:15 a.m.
