North Atlantic will kick off a new support fund Wednesday to assist communities hard hit by the impact of hurricane Igor.

The North Atlantic Fuel the Rebuild event will donate five cents from every litre of retail gasoline and retail diesel sold at all 57 North Atlantic stations and affiliated HomeTown stations across Newfoundland.

“Hurricane Igor has had a devastating impact on many communities around the island,” says North Atlantic’s retail manager, Glenn Sullivan.

“In difficult times like these, Newfoundlanders really come together to lend a helping hand to our neighbours in need. As a neighbourhood business with employees and customers in many of the hard-hit communities, we also want to show support for our neighbours.”

North Atlantic is also accepting cash donations for Fuel the Rebuild at our retail stores and at our Home-Heat Pay Centres across the island. Customers can log onto our website (northatlantic.ca) for a complete list of North Atlantic and HomeTown stations and a list of Home-Heat Pay Centres, or call our customer service team at 1-877-635-3645.
