I've stated this comment about the CRA before: The agency is by far the worst human rights abusers in Canada, but the media NEVER report this. Just look at the torment that more than 700 families faced for all those years. The fascist behavior of the CRA cannot be accepted as normal.

Wonderful news that the perservance of folks like Elizabeth Harvey has paid off. it is a clear case of the Federal Government balking at settling a long standing abuse of its policies and waiting for many of the recipients to die off.

I thought the fishing licenses belonged to the government - or so they say. The fishermen (the older ones) obtained the licenses free from the government and passed them down to family (for free) or were allowed to sell them for large amounts of money, even though they didn't own them, and keep the profits. Soooo they had to pay tax on them and then complained and because they are fisherment the court gave then a break. Now the lawyer is rich and they get back the taxes. Fine & Dandy but folks remember who is paying them - not the government but us who work and pay taxes.
