I call BS - short-term parking used to be free for the first 15 minutes, they changed it a few years ago to eliminate the 15 minutes free option. It was great to be able to quickly park and help an elderly family member with their suitcases when picking them up at the airport without having to pay. Now they charge you $1.25 for that, and soon $1.75!

Parking is a problem everywhere hospitals airports and malls but they all make a lot of money and they should all be free in my opinion.not overcharged!

Considering the fees at those other airports mentioned in this article,St.John's is getting a bargain.Furthermore,why should parking be free?Parking lots still have maintenance and have to be resurfaced about every 5 yrs or so.Would you rather those fees came out of your tax dollars?I doubt it?And you probably don't even use the airport so stop your whining!
