I'm glad Ken took in the pitbull...I have 3...the most misunderstood breed and usually ends up in ignorant ppls hands....sorry to hear someone left her behind, but glad to hear she has a great home now!

Good article, though training isn't the key. Someone reading that wouldn't understand. It's pack order and a human being the leader that's the key. When the dog thinks they're the leader, they become unsure and have to protect you from other dogs and people. That's where dogs get in trouble. Genetically, dogs are pack animals and will do great if you're the leader. That's the key. Whether or not you want to train them to do anything really doesn't matter much. It's a bonus and certainly helpful, but it's all about you being in charge.

A great story about a very good business. and driving home the point that a dog is what the owner makes it. You can turn any dog into a savage if you try hard enough and by the same token breeds that have been demonized by the media (like pit bulls or rotweillers ) make fine family pets if treated properly.
