Actually my duckies.....Get your tickets in order on your own ASAP !! enroll your self in a course related to Occupational Health and Safety,go to an employment agency and have a full professional resume prepared for you for FREE.take your sorry attitude and turn the anger into energy!! This site is all about safety and healthy employees. They house safe and healthy employees for the most part. Also employees who have a track record of excellent workmanshiop and decent attendance record at their prior jobs. Most of these men at BullArm have worked hard lived lives "in union" living in hotels, living lives i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. These guys do not complain rather most of them are light hearted souls who do very much appreciate a HARD days work. The employees at BullArm for the greater majority are NOT there due to 'who they know' They are somewhat scouted yes...but again, they EARNED IT.I read above some comments and I can honestly see some really skilled men giving up on themselves an leaving province....don't do it.Stay upgrade your tickets, enroll in a course related to what the site requires and wait your turn. There's no science better then being prepared and having work ethic that shines. Most of these guys are known for working no matter what the weather is,they learn to survive drastic weather, they work through it not complain. They go to work everyday, the take as little off time as possible because they know it all adds up. I salut !! BULLARM men and women employees Bravo kids "YOU earned it if your there" keep your heads up and be proud of what youve earned.Ignore any bad comments and hopes the complainers see they just need to re arrange their thoughts.

Agree Mike - but this whole province is who you know. Sadly, that has never changed.

To A Business Man: You really do have a hate on for the people of your own province don't you. Here's the kicker, It's yourself you have contempt for, your just taking it out on others. Give yourself a break and lighten up, you don't know it all you just think you do.

i agree 100% i work in the trades over 20 years but not in a union i can't get a look in at these jobs but people with no experince can go right to work .it makes me sick, when goverment and companies say that there is a shortage of workers here in newfoundland ,what a joke. i bet there is a lot of brown nosers in there.

Even Union folks dont' get a fair shake at the jobs. You need to be buddy buddy with the folks at the top of the mob......er I mean Union. The same guys get on the big projects every time.

I agree with everyone of you guys except the guy with the headline A business man. He is not a smart one wanting to go elsewhere to look for employes and not his own province. That makes since I guess if you don't have a clue what your talking about

If tradespeople were hired for their (skills, qualifications and job knowledge) instead of (union membership) there would probably be no shortage of tradespeople in the workforce. Also we would not have as many people going to Alberta for work.

I agree. The head of the labourer union is from marystown and everyone and their dog from there will be working at hebron

Sounds great! Maybe we can get some of those unskilled out-of-work fishplant workers in there to set up scaffolding, carry equipment, or something else that will get them more than 14 weeks of work every year.

complaining just doesn't work at all, If you don't have the proper safety training, or trades training you don't belong doing that work, you are not qualified and that is where mistakes and accidents happen. If you want to scaffold, you require to take the scaffolding course and get the proper papers in line.

This project will be the same as long harbour . I tried the past year to get out there with no luck. I am a journeymen tig welder who will go back to Alberta for work like I done in the past 7 years. So there is no shortage off skilled labour it's just a way to take the work elsewhere . Good luck on finding skill labour I guess in Korea

Just for there record, there are skilled welders from Korea, China, India and Mexico. Hiring a foreigner is much better than hiring a local because the local would want more money . The employers on the other hand, just want a body to do the work. Enjoy Alberta!

That does not make no since at all. Do you think we can go over there to work and everything will be ok. Try it and see what happens. You have no clue what your talking about

Congrats to everyone that has a relative or very close friend that's part of a trade union working at Bull Arm. You're the lucky folks that get to work on the Hebron project, everyone else ..... haha, too bad! Your education, work ethic or experience means nothing, this project is all about who you know.

I agree with mike 100 percent. They can have the work and in a few years it will be all gone again. Most of the people out there are from the se spot in nl or relatives . What a waste of time for people to try to get out thwre
