The government will gleefully, and far prefer to, spend years and thousands of dollars going after some guy over a pittance. If it had not been for this "leak" of n formation from a source outside of Canada, this dirty little game ---- played at the great expense of us peasants ----- would continue on, unabated.....BTW, how long did that "Senator allowances and expense scandal" thing last? Or MPs outrageous pensions being reformed ? .....Exactly. It's all about public service, folks. Self-sacrifice. A 'calling'. And it's so hard on families....blah blah blah.

Hard to comprehend how Harper is keeping the CRA still functioning by financially gutting it so that people are driving all over town too find a paper form. With his preference for big money people, i really doubt that his trying to find and collect from any of these huge tax evaders is going to be a bluff at best. According to Harper if you have a lot of money, you can do no wrong. It's the middle class and the poor who Harper expects to provide the tax money to run Canada.

Harper! Harper! Harper! So Harper runs the CRA now, too. It's absolutely amazing! When this guy is eventually gone, we're going to need 4 or 5 "normal" prime ministers to fill the job. But surely, Justin Trudeau can be this "uber-man"! ....I think I read somewhere that he once wrote a thesis on tax policy as a child.

This is a tough one. Sneaking money out of your countries tax pool would be, at worst, tantamount to treason, at the very least, being a bad citizen. Subsidizing bad spending by the government is also a fools' game. Where do you draw the line?
