Forget actual improvements....get a logo! That's all people need.....they'll flock to Bonavista, overlook all the roadside trash, vinyl-sided buildings, the town non-planning but marvel at the great logo! Newfoundland tourism...sustainable my arse!

Great job, however something should be done with the eyesore property between Riff's and the Anglican Church, old delivery truck, small building in state of disrepair, whoever owns this property most likely is not part of your makeover.

It is nice to know that the good folks of Bonavista are taking pride and an interest in making the town a destination for many. As a person who has had many trips to Bonavista over the last 10 years it whould benefit those trying to make a difference to ask the local restaurants in the area (especially Skipper's in the Hr. Quarters Hotel) to start serving "fresh cod fish" !!! It is really ironic yet unbelievable and sad that they serve "frozen fish" when they are located next to one of the biggest fish plants in Eastern Canada (OCI). Surely they can get "fresh" fish even if they have to make a case to the government to do so. If Ches's can get it in St. John's and Gander so should they be able to do so in Bonavista, one of the biggest fishing communities in the province. It would be appreciated by visitors and also be good for the Swyer's business. Just a suggestion that should help everyone.
