Truck loading has resumed at åthe Come By Chance refinery following an investigation into a problem that occurred while a vehicle was loaded with fuel on Monday.
Hatches lifted up on a truck as fuel was being loaded, because of pressure building up inside. There were no injuries.
The loading system at the site is regularly inspected, refinery spokeswoman Gloria Warren-Slade, said in an email Tuesday morning.
“Initial investigations suggest that there was an issue with the truck itself,” she wrote. The truck has since been taken away from the facility.
“All our safety and loading systems were working as they should at the time of the incident,” Warren-Slade said.
The site is separated from the main workings of the refinery.
While the loading facility was shut down, the refinery remained in normal operation.
