There is one thing in this article that was not mentioned but it is definately worth including. That is the trail to chamber's Covee near St.. Lawrence. Chamber's Cove is the site if the grounding of the USS Truxtun (DD 229, destroyer). Also there is continuing work to have this trail extended to Lawn Point, the site of the grounding of the USS Pollux (AKS-2, Supply Ship). With the heorism and courage shon by the men and women of St. Lawrence and the nearby town of Lawn, 168 American sailors were rescued and 203 sailors lost their lives. This trail (area) has a lot of tourism potential as well.
