No one talks about Bay D'Espoir anymore, although, at the time many opposed it...sound familiar? Same will hold true for muskrat 99% of the opposition is purely political. Oh...and does anyone proof read articles anymore?

I really enjoyed your story on the Bay d'Espoir power plant. I worked at that project during my university years, one summer driving a rock wagon, a PR619, then another summer with Shawmont Engineering doing laboratory soil testing and another time working in the warehouse and doing some expediting. I remember one time being about 12 feet down in a hole taking soil samples, when the sides started to cave in on me. Luckily the backhoe driver was in his seat and got the shovel down to me so that I could grab hold of the teeth and be lifted to safety.

the reason the 230kV line has not been approved is b/c it's all that's reqd to make the island system operate smoothly. no need for muskrat or any of the rest of it. we've been scammed. the avalon power demand could be met by adding this line which will enable the already excess power in central to flow to the expanding avalon population. ask a power engineer.
