Ottawa -

Legislation to rebalance the House of Commons by giving Ontario, Alberta and B.C. more seats is expected today.
The Globe and Mail says the legislation would rebalance the Commons to better enshrine the principle of one person, one vote.
The House would be adjusted so the three fastest-growing provinces would have the number of seats that their numbers warrant.
Depending on the formula used, the House could grow by 30 seats or more from its current level of 308.
A press release Wednesday night said Steven Fletcher, the Minister of State for Democratic Reform, would make an announcement today.
A similar bill was introduced in 2007 to increase the size of the House, but was withdrawn over complaints that Ontario would remain underrepresented.

yes we are not paying enough of our tax dollars now to keep MP's in Ottawa, I think there are too many now for what they do. Again the average hard working Canadian is paying thru the nose, I am sick and tired of working my guts out and almost half my income is given to the Feds. When will enough be enough? No wonder why there is so much black market work going on and I am one who will start doing it now and to hell with the government!
