CFIA expands recalled product list tied to tainted pistachios in U.S.

OTTAWA - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has expanded its list of recalled products tied to potentially tainted pistachios imported from the U.S.
Importers and distributors are being advised to stop distributing 24 American-made products under the Corrado's, Harry and David, and Setton Farm brands, and retailers are being told to pull them from Canadian store shelves.
The recalled foods contain pistachios that are the subject of a major recall in the U.S. by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella Inc., due to salmonella contamination.
The products include various mixed nut assortments, shelled and chocolate-covered pistachios and Harry and David assorted candies.
CFIA says the products may have been distributed nationally, but no illnesses have been reported as a result of consuming the products.
Three other products were recalled by the federal food watchdog earlier this week.
