A 48-year-old man from Highlands died after a house he was renovating in that community collapsed on the weekend.
According to Cpl. Steve Henley of the Bay St. George RCMP, two men were renovating a house Saturday when the accident occurred.
One man was using a pry bar to remove an old porch and washroom from the structure when the roof collapsed and he was trapped beneath it.
The other man lifted the roof and the injured man crawled out and was brought to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, but he died later that day from his injuries.
