The maker of Rolaids antacid tablets has announced a voluntary recall of some of the tablets in Canada.
The Canadian action is part of a wider international voluntary recall of certain lots of several over-the-counter products made by Johnson & Johnson.
The products are being recalled following reports some lots of medications had a mouldy smell that induced nausea in some consumers.
McNeil Consumers Healthcare, a division of Johnson & Johnson, says in Canada, the recall only relates to Rolaids that come in bottles of 100 and 150 tablets.
The company says the move is being taken as a precaution; the odour has been linked to wood pallets used in the transport and storage of packing materials used in the affected products.
The larger recall, which extends to the Americas, the United Arab Emirates and Fiji, involves a range of products including batches of Tylenol caplets and gel tabs, arthritis treatments, rapid-release and extended-relief Tylenol and chewable extra-strength Rolaids.

I loves Rolaids. I used to get a bad stomach, but now I can eat all the salt pork, salt fish, and salt beef that I can get my hands on. I just pops a few rolaids and feels good again.
