CIBC to open larger banking location in Mount Pearl

CIBC announced today it is investing in a 6,700 square-foot banking centre at Highway 2 and Richard Nolan Drive in Mount Pearl to open in the fall.
According to a news release, the new, larger branch, which will offer clients full-service banking and advice six days a week and will replace CIBC's existing premises on Commonwealth Avenue.
"CIBC is committed to investing in the long-term growth of Mount Pearl and in offering a great banking experience for our clients," said Sylvain Vinet, CIBC's senior vice-president of retail markets for Eastern Canada.
"With a larger, state-of-the-art branch, our clients will have even greater access to banking and advice to help them achieve what matters to them."
The new branch will feature barrier-free banking facilities, including sit-down teller stations and three Automated Banking Machines (ABMs) installed at wheelchair accessible height with headphone jacks for audio access, grab bars for mobility assistance, and brighter lighting. The branch will also offer a drive-thru ABM for added convenience.

    Why not build a larger building and move your Atlantic Canada head office here.

    Nice to see CIBC finally expanding. I would have expected it to be built in the Paradise/CBS area though since they have a combined population of over 30,000. In CBS, CIBC customers only have the Presidents Choice ATM machine in the Long Pond Dominion store.
