A small plane crashed into a two-storey office building just north of Toronto on Tuesday, less than half-a-kilometre from Buttonville Airport.
The Cessna aircraft was trailing smoke and rolled before it crashed through the roof of the building in Markham, Ont., witnesses said.
The plane could been seen on the roof, at Woodbine Avenue and Hooper Road, engulfed in flames following the crash.
The blaze was quickly doused by emergency crews.
It was not immediately clear how many people were on board the plane, or if anyone in the building was injured.
The plane appeared to have crashed through the roof, with some of the debris strewn on the roof.
Buttonville Airport is surrounded by densely populated neighbourhoods and is one of the country's Top 10 busiest airfields.
