In co-ordination with Expo Labrador 2010, Nalcor Energy - Lower Churchill Project is inviting the local business community to schedule one-on-one meetings with a member of the project procurement team, a news release announced today.
The release states these meetings are part of Nalcor's commitment to ensuring communities have accurate, timely information.
"The Lower Churchill Project presents significant opportunities for the business community in Labrador and on the island," says Gilbert Bennett, vice-president of the Lower Churchill Project.
"These one-on-one meetings will not only allow the procurement team to discuss goods and services requirements for the Lower Churchill Project, but will also give the business community an opportunity to present their company and its capabilities."
Meetings will take place Monday and Tuesday of next week at the E.J. Broomfield Arena in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and appointments must be made in advance. Those interested should schedule an appointment by contacting the Lower Churchill Project Information Centre at 709-896-6790.
Planning is underway for a series of similar meetings throughout Labrador and on the island for the fall. Nalcor will work with regional economic development boards and chambers of commerce to further connect with the business community.
