GASPE, Que. - The cliffs of Forillon National Park overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence will provide the setting for a 90-minute concert by acclaimed Quebec cellist/singer Jorane on Aug. 11.

And while the performance site is unusual, the show time — sunrise — can only add to the drama.

The 90-minute concert starts at 5 a.m. Regular park admission fees apply but the show itself is free.

Dawn concerts featuring other artists were previously staged in the park in 2010 and 2011.

The goal is for the performance to blend with the beauty of the wild setting of Cap-Bon-Ami and "the splendour of dawn at sea," said Parks Canada, adding that it is "a truly unique way" to experience Forillon park and the Gaspe Peninsula.

Guests are advised to bring their own blanket or chair.
