Higher employer contributions drive improvement in pension solvency in 2012

TORONTO - A new study says the solvency position of Canadian benefit pension plans improved in 2012. However, the findings by consultancy Mercer says economic factors were largely a non-factor and that most of the improvement was due to increased employer contributions.
