MONTREAL - Renewable energy producer Boralex Inc. (TSX:BLX) is reporting a big drop in fourth-quarter net profit as revenue from energy sales slid 6.5 per cent. The Montreal-based renewable energy producer says net income fell to $1.2 million or three cents per share in the three months ended Dec. 31. That was down from $8.2 million or 8.2 cents per share in the comparable 2011 period. Revenue dropped to $52.1 million from $56.5 million in what the company has called a "transitional year" as it reduced its thermal power weighting in four of wind power.
