HALIFAX - The president and CEO of Nova Scotia Business Inc. is leaving his post to accept a similar position in Bermuda.
The Bermuda Business Development Corp. said in statement Wednesday that Stephen Lund will join the organization in mid-August as its CEO.
It said Lund, who previously worked for the Bank of Bermuda, was chosen for the job out of 180 candidates from around the world.
The corporation's chairwoman, Caroline Foulger, says Lund will help drive international business growth and create jobs in Bermuda.
Lund became president and CEO of Nova Scotia's business development agency in 2001.
The board of directors for Nova Scotia Business Inc. also confirmed Lund's departure Wednesday.
In a news release, the 55-year-old said he was proud of the agency's accomplishments and believes it has helped Nova Scotia become "a competitive player in the global economy."
