HALIFAX - Police in Halifax are searching for a suspect after two women were stabbed today.
Police say the incident happened on Gottingen Street around 2:40 p.m.
They say a 31-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman were in an apartment when a man entered the residence and stabbed them both before fleeing on foot.
Police say one victim had several stab wounds, while the other had one stab wound.
Investigators say both women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police do not believe the stabbing was a random act.
Officers are looking for the suspect and plan on interviewing the victims.
