Teenage girl facing charges after 2 Halifax police vehicles damaged

HALIFAX - Police in Halifax say a teenage girl is facing charges after allegedly damaging two cop cruisers outside of an out-of-control party in Halifax.

Police say officers were called to an apartment on Mandaville Court around 9:40 p.m. after a noise complaint.

While officers were shutting the party down, police received a second complaint that a girl was outside damaging vehicles.

They say one marked police vehicle had both its mirrors broken off and the windshield smashed, while another had a mirror broken.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested is facing two counts of property damage.

She was released from police custody on a promise to appear in youth court.
