Nova Scotia car crash that closed highway Saturday claims a second life

HALIFAX - A second person has died following a two-vehicle collision that closed down a Nova Scotia highway Saturday morning.

RCMP say Luigi Liscio, from Toronto, died Saturday evening in hospital after the SUV in which he was in collided with a van.

The Mounties say the 87-year-old man was travelling with five other people on Highway 103 near Hubbards when the incident occurred.

The driver of the van, 75-year-old Myrtle Veinotte, died at the scene.

Veinotte, from Beech Hill, was the only person in the van.

Police say two people remain in hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
