Progressive Conservative member won't run again in New Brunswick election

FREDERICTON - A member of New Brunswick's Progressive Conservative government says he won't seek re-election.

Jack Carr represents the riding of New Maryland-Sunbury West in the legislature and made the announcement on his Facebook page.

The 38-year-old was first elected in a byelection in 2008.

His brother is Jody Carr, the province's minister of post-secondary education, training and labour.

The next provincial election is scheduled for Sept. 22.
