OTTAWA - Look for the federal Conservatives to sharpen their attacks this week against new father Justin Trudeau.

Even though the Liberal leader won't be in the House of Commons — his wife gave birth last week to a baby boy — the Tories are certain to focus more attention on him after receiving some worrying polling data.

Longtime party pollster Andre Turcotte has warned the Tories that the Liberals are surging in popular opinion at their expense, and it's a trend that has been building for nearly two years.

By the way, the name the Trudeaus gave their newborn — Hadrian — is all the rage in political circles.

The Liberal leader hasn't said why they chose the name, but Hadrian was the name of a Roman emperor who reigned from 117 to 138 A.D.

And while he was commonly considered a good economic steward, Emperor Hadrian is reviled among the Jewish community.

Here are some other happenings to watch out for:

— Aboriginal Affairs Minister Bernard Valcourt and several aboriginal chiefs will take part in a land-management signing ceremony.

— Green party Leader Elizabeth May's private member's bill, C-442, the National Lyme Disease Strategy Act, is up for debate in the Commons.

— The Senate defence committee will discuss the status of Canada's international security and defence relations, including relations with the U.S., NATO and NORAD, and ballistic missile defence.

— And Heritage Minister Shelly Glover appears at the Senate official languages committee, which will hear from witnesses on how recent changes to the immigration system could affect official languages communities.

The mother must have her hands full between changing the newborn's diapers, and changing Justin's diapers after each immature gaffe he makes.

I find the headline insulting. What is wrong with Mr. Trudeau taking some time to be with his newborn son and family?

Harper can't come up to levels in regards of respect and decency, so he has to bring everyone down to the bottom of the rung, to his level. Maybe he might have one of those Rob Ford so called " God Moments"! But for all I know, that could of been just a withdrawal symptom, who knows? Harper can't run on his record! They have spent more in the history of our country and are now trying to balance the books on the backs of everyone from our Veterans to our Search and Rescue to make themselves look good for an election. It just goes to show that no one is safe under the conservative government, in a battle field or in the water. If they want to shut Harper up, just ask him a question about his great decisions on the senate. Justin Trudeau has done more to fix the Senate being the leader of the Third Party than the Con's have done since they been there. So they can make fun of Trudeau's hair all they want, but from what I hear is that the Con's have been grooming a new love child prodigy to replace Harper, that being MP Pierre Poilievre. He's like the Conservatives very own Kim Jong-un in waiting and oddly enough, they have very eerily similar hair styles themselves. This is the guy who's trying to change election laws to protect Canadians. To me, I this guy gets his way, our next federal polling stations will be a bunch of Conservative Blue port a potties, so people can flush their democracy down the toilet. And I hope Mr. Trudeau he doesn't call is new baby... Steve!
